WHO WE ARE
Southern Tier Committee of Young People in AA committee members are committed and active members of Alcoholics Anonymous. We hope to show the "young" recovering alcoholic that through the 3 legacies of AA; Recovery, Unity and Service, it is possible to achieve a lasting and comfortable sobriety. We are responsible when anyone, anywhere reaches for the hand of AA. The hand of STCYPAA is extended to any and all alcoholics yearning to discover a freedom from the bondage of self. On June 15, 1969 Bill W. wrote a letter to the ‘Young People’ of AA that stated, “In recent years I have found nothing for greater inspiration than the knowledge that AA of tomorrow will be safe, and certainly magnificent, in the keeping of you who are the younger generation of AA today.” The Southern Tier Committee of Young People of Alcoholics Anonymous invites you on this journey in setting ‘Young’ hearts and souls on fire.
WHAT WE DO
We travel statewide raising awareness, sharing experience, strength and hope to an increasing number of "young" AA’s trying to find their way in recovery. We unite together throughout the state regularly at meetings, participate in service, and host events leading up to each annual conference.
